Katarzyna Stolarz-Skrzypek, MD, PhD, works as the associated professor of medicine at the First Department of Cardiology, Interventional Electrocardiology and Hypertension, Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow, Poland. She is certified specialist in internal medicine, cardiology and arterial hypertension. She has been the member of the Working Group on Blood Pressure measurement of the European Society of Cardiology, and worked as the Secretary for the Polish Society of Hypertension. She published number of papers in the field of cardiovascular disease and presented numerous abstracts at the international conferences. Her main scientific interests include: genetic and the environmental (including salt intake) factors in the etiology of essential hypertension, blood pressure variability, autonomic nervous function.
