Prof. Danuta Czarnecka, MD, PhD, is the professor of medicine and the Head of the First Department of Cardiology, Interventional Electrocardiology and Hypertension, Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow, Poland.
She is certified specialist in internal medicine, cardiology and arterial hypertension. She is the Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, the Past-President of the Polish Society of Hypertension and member of the Polish Society of Cardiology. Prof. Danuta Czarnecka published number of papers in the field of cardiovascular disease and presented numerous abstracts at the international conferences. Her recent research interests include: renal denervation in patients with heart failure and resynchronization therapy, baroreflex and central pressure after renal denervation in patients with resistant hypertension, dysfunction of coronary microcirculation in hypertensive patients, and left ventricular diastolic dysfunction and coronary microcirculation in hypertensive patients. She has been a principal investigator in many randomized clinical trials in heart failure, hypertension and atrial fibrillation.
